Garbage: In Paris streets, heaps of it become protest symbol
A strike by Paris garbage collectors begins its 16th day on Tuesday. Polls show the majority of French oppose President Emmanuel Macron's decision to raise the retirement age by two years. City Hall said that as of Monday, 9,300 tons of rubbish remained on the streets. Unions are planning nationwide strikes for Thursday.
