Elon Musk Warns ‘Game over’ if Democrats Sweep 2028 Elections
Musk said Democrats could make major institutional changes if they win control of Congress and the presidency, as he boosts GOP spending past $442 million.
On Thursday, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk warned that a Democratic sweep of the presidency and Congress in 2028 would be "game over for America," urging voters to support Republican Senate candidates.
Musk claims Democrats would grant statehood to Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico, legalize immigrants, and expand the Supreme Court to cement a permanent majority, fundamentally altering the country's political system.
Contributing more than $442 million to Republican campaigns and political groups, Musk has emerged as the largest individual political donor in United States history, including $158 million to the Senate Leadership Fund.
CBS News polls project Democrats could win 229 House seats in the November 3 midterms, though Republicans retain a narrow path to the majority as inflation and economic concerns shape voter preferences.
Determining control of Congress will shape President Donald Trump's legislative agenda, with voters weighing the balance of power in Washington against persistent economic challenges and declining approval ratings.
