Galileo Middle School approved to become a community school

The Colorado Board of Education unanimously approved Colorado Springs D-11’s pathway plan to turn Galileo Middle School into a community school during its February meeting. The decision is a result of an accountability hearing for Galileo, who is in its fifth year on the state’s performance watchlist and the first time the board has approved a community school pathway since it was added as an option in 2022.
