Cost of pothole damage rises to £1.7bn as millions face £300 repair costs
Drivers across the nation have faced a £1.7 billion bill for car repairs due to potholes over the last twelve months, according to Kwik Fit.
More than one million drivers spent over £300 each on repairs, with the average cost of fixing pothole damage rising to £144.
Lorna Connelly from Admiral warns that potholes can quickly worsen and advises drivers to be cautious on the road.
A Department for Transport spokesperson stated they are investing £1.6 billion to help local authorities fix up to seven million potholes over the next year.
