On the ninth day (27th) of the Aichi/Nagoya Asian Games, in athletics, Mako Fukube won the gold medal in the women's 100-meter hurdles, with Hitomi Nakajima coming in second. Haruka Kitaguchi, the 2024 Paris Olympic champion, won the silver medal in the women's javelin throw, and Rashid Murata won the silver medal in the men's 110-meter hurdles. Hayato Katsuki won the men's marathon race walk.
