The government has not extended the CPN (Lower Fuel Prices) program because there are no longer funds for it in the budget, Energy Minister Miłosz Motyka announced. He emphasized that the PLN 5 billion spent on this program so far is still "a huge effort for the budget."

The end of the Lower Fuel Prices program means drivers will face higher prices at the pump again. The Ministry of Finance has announced the cost of the second installment of the government's protection, and analysts are predicting how much more fuel will be paid in early September.
The government will not extend the Lower Fuel Prices program. Starting Tuesday, every driver will pay more at the pump – from 0.60 to 0.90 groszy per liter. This will translate into inflation, which has already risen significantly in July and August.
The scale of price increases at stations may vary; in the worst-case scenario, they could reach around 1 złoty, fuel market expert Rafał Zywert told Polsat News. He added that even higher prices could be in store. "If this nervousness in the markets persists, we'll see further increases," the expert noted. Monday is the last day of the government's Lower Fuel Prices (CPN) package.
