Fuel oil trail of 1 kilometer on Ghent-Terneuzen canal due to leak at Arcelor Mittal Ghent, clean-up in full swing

Due to a leak at the steel company Arcelor Mittal in the port of Ghent, a large amount of fuel oil has ended up in the Ghent-Terneuzen canal. It concerns a track of 1 kilometer, the fire brigade has dammed it, an external company is now removing the fuel oil from the water. The leak originated at a heating installation.
