Karsten Warholm kept his bid for a second gold of the European Championships in Birmingham and a fourth 400m hurdles title on track as he sailed through qualifiers on Wednesday.
Former junior world athletics runner-up Matic Ian Guček improved his previous Slovenian record in the 400m hurdles with a time of 48.03 seconds in the semi-finals of the 27th European Championships in Birmingham, securing his place in the final on Friday.
