Friesland Relaxes Rules for Advisory Referendum

Friesland is going to make it easier for residents to organize a provincial advisory referendum. Among other things, the number of signatures required to organize a public consultation is being reduced. In the new rules adopted by the provincial government, the turnout threshold is also being changed from 40 to 30 percent of eligible voters.
