German Franziska Koch (FDJ United-Suez) is the winner of the sixth women's version of the Paris-Roubaix classic. After the 143.1 km route with 20 cobbled sections between Denain and Roubaix, she was slightly better in the sprint than the legendary Dutchwoman Marianne Vos (Visma-Lease a Bike). There were no Slovenian women at the start.
The German Franziska Koch triumphs completely surprisingly in the women's race of Paris-Roubaix.
Germany's 25-year-old won "Northern Hell" in front of the two teammates of Visma-Lease a Bike, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and Marianne Vos, trapped on the Roubaix velodrome.
