Coventry Manager Frank Lampard Signs New Contract to 2029
Lampard won 45 of 82 matches and led Coventry to the Championship title before agreeing to stay through 2029.
On Tuesday, Coventry manager Frank Lampard signed a new contract extending through 2029, securing his future ahead of the club's return to the Premier League.
The 48-year-old former England midfielder helped the Sky Blues earn promotion to the top flight after 25 years by winning the Championship last season following his November 2024 appointment.
Since taking charge at the Midlands club, the former Chelsea, Everton, and Derby boss has won 45 out of his 82 matches. He said, "It's a real honour to represent this club."
Lampard will lead Coventry against defending champion Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Friday, Aug. 21, marking the club's first Premier League game since 2001.
"I'm looking forward to getting back with the players," Lampard said, emphasizing preparation for the new season as the team aims to maintain the spirit created last year.
