While teammate Marc Marquez took over the World Cup lead, Lenovo Ducati driver Francesco Bagnaia fought in the MotoGP sprint of Mandalika with a lack of grip and saved 8th place in the finish.

The driver of the Ducati ended the Sprint of Mandalika in eighth place, at the end of a race that he himself called 'anonymous'. Unfortunately, having little grip at the rear, he failed to put energy on the rubber and therefore found the rhythm only in the second part of the race, when it was now late to do more.
