Russian state-owned company TVEL is to join the production of nuclear fuel in Germany as part of a project for French energy company EDF, or rather its subsidiary Framatome. The controversial plan is awaiting approval from German authorities, writes Politico. The French would like to supply this (non-)Russian fuel to Russian reactors for nuclear power plants in Central and Eastern Europe.
