The trial of the former French surgeon accused of multiple rapes and sexual assaults on former mostly minor patients continues before the Morbihan criminal court in Vannes. On Tuesday, 22 April, a former colleague doctor from the hospital in Quimperlé, who was aware of a first conviction in 2005 of the former practitioner, testified on the stand.
Joël Le Scouarnec's trial took a new turn this Tuesday, with the hearings of doctors and a hospital director, in order to better identify the dysfunctions that allowed the child criminal surgeon to continue his actions.
The Finisterian victims of Joël Le Scouarnec began to testify this Wednesday, 23 April 2025 at the Morbihan Criminal Court in Vannes. Thirty-one people formed civil parties, 14 did not wish. The former surgeon practiced in Quimperlé between 2006 and 2009.
