With the latest selloff in September, total FPI outflows from the Indian stock market have risen to Rs 2.37 lakh crore so far in 2026.
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have withdrawn ₹14,474 crore from the equity market so far this month (September 1-12). Previously, positive inflows were recorded in July and August. FPI investment in the primary market (IPOs) has remained positive at ₹1,336 crore so far, bringing total FPI investment in the primary market this year to ₹47,183 crore.
