Fox's World Cup coverage will have British flavor, with 6 of 9 play-by-play commentators from UK
Fox will field four all-British crews and 10 British booth voices as it expands coverage for the 48-team tournament.
- On Wednesday, Fox Sports announced its broadcast lineup for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, featuring 48 teams and a record 104 matches.
- The tournament's expansion from 32 to 48 nations necessitated a larger roster of 18 booth voices. Fox Sports president Brad Zager said the expansion allowed them to "build a dream roster."
- Ten of the 18 booth voices are British, including four all-British crews. Darren Fletcher and Owen Hargreaves, who worked for Fox at Euro 2024, exemplify the international depth.
- Seventy matches will air on Fox's broadcast channel with 34 on FS1; every match streams on the Fox Sports App. This distribution expands access compared to the 2022 tournament.
- Fox will call all matches on-site from June 11 to July 19, as it did in Qatar four years ago. Studio hosts include NBC's Premier League host Rebecca Lowe and Rob Stone.
