A building was overtaken on Tuesday in Athens, for an unknown reason, and searches were under way to save possible people trapped under the rubble, says a representative of the Greek AFP firefighters.
The seven-apartment building collapsed in the middle of the day on Tuesday 30 June in the Petralona district, close to the centre. Construction work was under way on a nearby land and could be at the origin of the collapse.
