On the weekend of June 27th and 28th, absolute temperature records were broken in the Czech Republic. At the meteorological station in Doksany in the Ústí nad Labem region, they measured 40.9 degrees Celsius that Saturday. But a new record was broken the day later, exactly one degree higher. And it was in the last week of June and the first week of July that the Czech Statistical Office (CZSO) recorded an increased number of deaths.
