FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Fort Smith Police Department says it is investigating a shooting incident that happened in the area of N. 7th Street and N. 8th Street on May 2. According to a press release, officers responded to the scene earlier in the evening and found one person with an apparent gunshot-related injury. That person was transported to a local hospital.
