Former Jets QB and Pinellas Park High Alum Browning Nagle Dies After Cancer Battle
The former Louisville quarterback was a 1991 NFL Draft pick and helped lead the Cardinals to a Fiesta Bowl victory over Alabama.

- Nagle transferred to UofL to play under coach Howard Schnellenberger, leading the Cards to their first bowl game in 13 years. He earned Fiesta Bowl MVP honors in 1991, defeating Alabama 34-7.
- The quarterback played for the New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts, and Atlanta Falcons during his NFL career. Later, Nagle competed for the Orlando Predators in 1999 and the Buffalo Destroyers in 2000.
