SURVEY - Barely major, the Toulonnais Eddie Goujit was placed in pre-trial detention for a series of scams. Living the great life, promising mountains and wonders to associations, he made himself appear to be a minister of François Bayrou or a close friend of Emmanuel Macron.
Hired as a seasonal animator, an 18-year-old man, who had already been prosecuted for usurpation and fraud in the Toulon region, ran for a month at the Lion Camping in Bourg-Saint-Andéol.
Eddie Goujit, an 18-year-old candidate declared to the municipal authorities of Toulon in 2026, was arrested in Ardèche and placed in police custody after several complaints accusing him of identity and fraud. He is suspected, inter alia, of having deceived the Southern Region, associations, professionals and individuals.
"Fake and use of fakes", "thefts"... Eddie Goujit, candidate for the Toulon (Var) municipalities in 2026, was charged and placed in pre-trial detention on Wednesday, 13 August.
The 18-year-old man, who passed through the Paca Regional Youth Parliament, multiplied the scams, recently going so far as to pretend to be a Bayrou minister. Arrested in Ardèche, he was placed in police custody this Monday
