The World Organisation for Animal Health publishes a report to deplore the lack of funding in veterinary services. A deficit that exposes the world "dangerously to cross-border diseases, food insecurity and the next pandemic", warns the intergovernmental organization.
Although essential for the global economy and for human health, veterinary services are chronically underinvested, the World Organisation for Animal Health denounces in a report published today. Its Managing Director, Emmanuelle Soubeyran, calls for their better integration into health investments.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (WHOA) warned this Wednesday that animal health receives only 0.6% of global health spending and warned that budget cuts leave the world exposed to cross-border diseases, food insecurity and the next pandemic.
