Flutter names Taylor as new CEO as Jackson to step down
The company cut full-year earnings guidance by $210 million after US revenues fell 6% and adjusted EBITDA dropped 45%, it said.
On Wednesday, Flutter announced that Chief Executive Officer Peter Jackson will step down on September 30, 2026, after eight years, with Dan Taylor, boss of Flutter's international business, succeeding him on October 1, 2026.
Mounting U.S. sales pressures and declining FanDuel market share prompted the leadership change, as Flutter slashed its full-year U.S. profit guidance by 22% on Wednesday amid broader earnings miss.
Group adjusted EBITDA dropped 45% to 508 million dollars over the first half of 2026, while revenue fell 6% to 1.68 billion dollars for the half-year, linked to a 15% decline in its sportsbook arm.
Flutter is investing roughly 270 million dollars in better rewards, promotions, and customer protections in the second half of 2026, while expanding FanDuel's reach through prediction markets into states where conventional sports wagering remains unavailable.
Taylor's new mission involves restoring FanDuel's execution and turning renewed customer activity into durable growth, with management aiming to enter 2027 with more customers, stronger market share, and better momentum despite near-term profit pressures.
