- Tuesday evening, Lake City Police responded to an armed robbery at BJ's Meat Market, Lake City, Florida, where suspect Kobe Latrey Watkins, 25, is accused of stealing over $1,000.
- Store employees told police the suspect was nude except for a face covering and Watkins allegedly broke into a cash box, taking more than $1,000 from BJ's Meat Market.
- Store employees showed police surveillance video and described the suspect holding a cloth-wrapped object believed to be a weapon, while police found clothing and other property linked to the robbery.
- Lake City officers and Columbia County deputies established a perimeter and arrested Watkins, 25, who was medically evaluated at a local hospital before booking into the Columbia County Detention Center on Dec. 23.
- Reported by WCJB, Gainesville's ABC affiliate, no one was hurt during the robbery, and Gerald Butler, Lake City Chief of Police, credited quick response from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office and business employees.
