In Red States, Law-and-Order Republicans Turn Against Flock Cameras

Texas and Florida are curbing Flock cameras as officials cite privacy concerns and alleged misuse, even as the network spans more than 100,000 cameras.

DALLAS — Texas Gov. Greg Abbott directed police departments last month to stop spending state money on Flock Safety cameras, the license-plate readers that have drawn bipartisan backlash around the country.
