The Flemish government is appealing the lawsuit concerning the cancelled tram line between Maastricht and Hasselt in Belgian Limburg, the province of Limburg announced. A Dutch court ruled late last year that Flanders is liable for the millions of euros in costs incurred for the project. The province of Limburg and the municipality of Maastricht are seeking compensation of over 19 million euros.
