The Deputy First Minister for Wales, Huw Irranca-Davies, has announced new funding worth £500,000 a year to protect the future of Monmouthshire and Brecon's historic canal. The funding will support an essential water supply agreement between the board that manages the canal on behalf of the Canals and Rivers Trust, Glandŵr Cymru, and Dŵr Cymru.
