Despite the finding of a treatable bacterium in the neonatal area, IMSS authorities in Durango clarify has nothing to do with the death of babies.
The Institute reported that the bacteria identified are sensitive to the antibiotics available and that, so far, their presence alone does not explain the deaths.
During surveillance, the institute identified a bacterium sensitive to commonly used antibiotics available in the hospital, but said that, with the information available, their presence “does not alone explain the deaths” and that the analysis continues.
