An alert on the possible landing of 20 to 30 migrants took this morning to GNR and the Maritime Police to Foz Beach, in Meco Village, in Sesimbra, where a rubber boat had given to the coast. The searches for land and sea did not confirm the presence of migrants, but the authorities admit that the boat may be linked to drug trafficking or smuggling of fuel.
Alert was given by a citizen who heard reports that 20 or 30 people would have landed in a boat. Police found boat and belongings, but did not locate people. Searches are carried out by land and sea.
