After setting the fastest time in Wednesday's opening practice for the World Cup downhill race in Soldeu, Ester Ledecká finished fourth a day later, losing 91 hundredths of a second to the victorious Austrian Nina Ortlieb.
Ester Ledecka, who had a disastrous weekend at the Olympic Games that ended on Sunday, showed promise in the first training run for the Soldeu World Cup downhill. The Czech multi-talent, who failed to finish any races in Milan/Cortina in either snowboarding or alpine skiing, clocked the fastest time of 1:33.39 minutes on Wednesday in sunny Andorra, ahead of the Italian duo of Nicol Delago (+0.37 seconds) and Sofia Goggia (+0.43).
