First Quantum Deemed Broadly Compliant at Panama Copper Mine
(Bloomberg) — Panama moved closer to deciding whether First Quantum Minerals Ltd. can reopen a giant copper mine after receiving a long-awaited audit that found the project met most of its environmental, legal, fiscal and operational obligations.
The Minister of Commerce, who heads the team, indicated that the report was already published on the website of the Ministry of Environment; and asked citizens, before forming an opinion read the report or at least its conclusions.
