First Case of Brucellosis in Humans confirmed in Montenegro

The dangerous infectious disease brucellosis was discovered on a sheep farm near Podgorica in Montenegro, and as reported by the RTCG portal, the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro has determined that the disease has spread to humans, so products from that farm have been banned.

Director of the Directorate for Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Affairs, Vladimir Đaković, said that the farm where brucellosis was discovered is under strict supervision of the competent veterinary services.
