Firefighters ask residents to remain vigilant to prevent wildfires
Hot and dry conditions have prevailed in and around Lampasas County until rain arrived this week. The Lampasas Volunteer Fire Department has responded to numerous wildfires throughout the area. Since Jan. 1, the Lampasas VFD has responded to 60 wildland, grass and brush fires, Chief Tim Weinrick reported.
