The fire broke out in an apartment located on the 2nd floor of a building in downtown La Riche (Indre-et-Loire), on the evening of April 16, 2026. And quickly spread to the seven levels of the building. All the occupants of the building could be evacuated in time, but three firefighters, intoxicated by smoke, had to be hospitalized.
