On 23 July 2026, a 57-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody as part of the investigation into the fire at Cape Fréhel in Plevenon, Côtes-d'Armor. The appearance was held before the Saint-Malo Correctional Court on Wednesday, 16 September. He was released.
Suspected of having set fire to littoral moors in Plevenon (Côtes-d'Armor) this summer, a communal employee was released for the benefit of the doubt, Wednesday, September 16th. The village remains divided "between those who no longer have much doubt and those who do not want to believe it".
On Wednesday, the Court of Saint-Malo released a 57-year-old man who was tried for burning the violent fire that had ravaged 38 hectares of vegetation in Cape Fréhel on 12 July.
The trial of the alleged incendiary of Cape Fréhel, where the fire had destroyed 38 ha of moors in the summer of 2026, took place on Wednesday, 16 September.
