The fire that raged in the Omiš area at night spread extremely quickly. The fire devoured everything in front of it and people were running for their lives in panic. To escape the flames, many jumped into the sea and took refuge in boats anchored off the coast. A rescue operation was launched at night, and almost 200 children were rescued from the sea, including children, the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure announced.
