Late-night fire destroys Elgin four-plex, displacing five people and causing $750K in damage. Rideau Lakes firefighters battled the blaze for hours.

House fire northeast of Kingston

There has been extensive damage to a house following a blaze in the community of Elgin on Sunday. Around 10 p.m., fire crews and OPP responded to the home in the Rideau Lakes area. No injuries were reported, however, damage was widespread in the building, with has multiple units. The cause is under investigation.
