Aurich (dpa/lni) – Two cows broke into a slurry pit under a stable in Aurich and were rescued by the fire department. The animals stuck up to their necks in the slurry and threatened to drown, as the fire department reported. After the liquid was pumped off a little bit, emergency personnel equipped with breathing protection and wathoses went into the pit and put a special rescue harness on the cows.
