Fire at the hazardous waste incinerator in Gdańsk

On Wednesday after 11 a.m., paints and varnishes transported for disposal at the hazardous waste incinerator in the port of Gdańsk caught fire. The fire was caused by spontaneous combustion. Fortunately, the wind blew the potentially toxic smoke over the Bay of Gdańsk and not towards residential areas — we read on the website of the city of Gdańsk.
