A fire occurred at the Old Butler County Courthouse early Sunday morning, according to the Hamilton fire chief.

A fire broke out early Sunday morning at the historic Butler County Courthouse in Hamilton, according to fire department crews on scene.Hamilton Fire Chief Thomas Eickelberger said a fire began in the basement of the courthouse at 101 High Street at around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.The fire was contained to one room in the basement, and no injuries were reported.The cause of the fire is not yet known.
