Transport associations in Finland require the Government to act immediately on the rise in fuel prices, which have already reached the level that is damaging to the country's economy, reporting the online publication Verkkuutiset.
The Finnish transport associations demanded immediate action by the Finnish Government in response to the record fuel prices that are damaging to the economy, as stated in the call on the website of the SKAL industry association. "The commercial fuel prices have reached unacceptable levels and are damaging to the Finnish economy ... SKAL, bus and taxi associations require the Government to take action on fuel price developments", the report says…
According to price monitoring maintained by the EU Commission, diesel in Finland was the most expensive in Europe at the beginning of the week.
The prices of diesel fuel have gone into space, they're considered to be Finnish carriers, and they require urgent measures from the government, including special prices for transport companies.
Experts from the Market Council estimate that Finland cannot afford or make sense to lower fuel taxes, even though prices are at record levels.
