The Minister of Finance has received confirmation that expenditure will not be counted for the implementation of the budgetary rules.
The Minister for Finance expects the European Commission to classify the storms as “uncontrollable event” and excludes support for the reconstruction of the net primary expenditure accountancy.
Miranda Sarmento says the European Commission showed openness to making deficit and debt rules more flexible. State storm expenses will be considered one-off and should not count towards the effort to reduce net expenditure
