Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Will Have Free Level Boosts If You Don't Want To Grind
Square Enix says the optional feature will let players skip grinding, while completionist playthroughs are expected to take more than 100 hours.
On April 8, 2027, Square Enix will release Final Fantasy VII Revelation, which Director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed includes an optional auto-leveling system allowing players to focus on the main story without grinding.
Responding to feedback about Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's open-world bloat, Square Enix designed this feature to replicate the linear campaign structure of Remake, helping players bypass traditional RPG grinding.
At the Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix confirmed the game supports PS5 Pro Versatility Mode, which will "prioritize maintaining a 60-fps framerate while displaying graphics at 4K resolution."
Because the game requires around 200 GB of storage, Revelation will ship on a single disc requiring a download; Hamaguchi stated a single completionist playthrough will take over 100 hours.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation serves as the trilogy's capstone, concluding the story while offering optional quality-of-life settings similar to those in The Pixel Remasters of the original games.
