A founding figure of Palestinian cinema, Michel Khleifi devoted his work to setting the memory of a people threatened with erasure. This major artist gives a central place to women and constantly denounces the violence of colonization. He has been based in Belgium since the 1970s and has also contributed to the development of our cinema. In 2019, the Cinematek restored all of his films.
