Fernie fire hall referendum cancelled in favour of new opportunity

FERNIE, BRITISH COLUMBIA, JUL 18 – Fernie council canceled the referendum to apply for a $7 million provincial grant and use higher borrowing limits, potentially saving taxpayers 30 years of payments, officials said.
