Twenty of the 96 suspected cases of death from bacteria found in the ampoules were investigated. In eleven cases, it was found to have had an impact on the fatal outcome. Out of 20 medical records out of 100 under study, the report reveals that the adulterated drug contributed to the death of 12 patients, but cannot be directly associated with it because of the serious illnesses they were in.
