Historians from the Regional Museum in Ústí nad Labem have begun to investigate the wartime past of entertainer Felix Holzmann (1921–2002). The popular comedian kept information about his service in the Third Reich navy secret all his life: the first speculations leaked to the public only after Holzmann's death, but they have now been verified and documented.
From his military record, historians found out that he was not one of those who would go to fight for the empire with enthusiasm, he was marked as unsuitable for promotion.
