The Vaud section of the Zofingue student association is no longer recognized by UNIL and EPFL. The Federal Court confirmed this decision.
The University of Lausanne and the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne have the right to refuse the status of university association to the Zofingue society, which admits only male students. The Federal Court considers that the principle of gender equality must take precedence over freedom of association.
