Federal agency quashes Georgia's plan to let pharmacies sell medical marijuana

Georgia has issued licenses to 23 independent pharmacies to dispense medical marijuana, but the Georgia Access to Medical Cannabis Commission cannot override the federal directive.
Supporters believe the DEA's stance protects consumers, while those opposing rapid marijuana legalization argue that pharmacies provide fully tested and FDA-approved drugs.
Georgia sought to be the first state to allow pharmacies to sell cannabis in low doses, however, the United States Drug Enforcement Agency warned that it would be a crime
