Fears for little penguins as unlatched gate and one fox 'could wipe them out in one night' on Granite Island

Summary by Ground News
Granite Island is accessed via a causeway off Victor Harbour, some 80 kilometres south of Adelaide. Citizen scientists monitor the penguins and report on their numbers, chicks, and behaviours. The information they provide is then used by researchers at Flinders University. Volunteers are becoming increasingly frustrated and concerned about the number of times the gate is being left open by people walking to the island.
